My general research interests include quantitative genetics, genetic improvement of forest trees, genetics of basis of fusiform rust disease and wood traits, design and analysis of gene expression experiments (microarrays), marker assisted selection in forest trees and statistical analysis of experimental designs. My work, supported by NSF-Plant Genome Research Program (2009-2012) seeks to build models that describe the lignin pathway (lead by Vincent Chiang). A systems approach is being used to provide a comprehensive analysis of the regulation of lignin biosynthesis. My role in the project is statistical analysis and interpretation of data.
