My general research expertise is in: plant tissue culture and transformation; plant DNA/RNA extraction; PCR; gene cloning; real time RT-PCR; plasmid vector construction; wood chemistry analysis; isolation and fermentation of Fungus, Yeast and Bacterium; fungus polysaccharide purification and function analysis; immobilization of amylase. The specific work I will be doing for this NSF project is related to: plant tissue culture and transformation; PCR confirmation of transgenic plants; care for In vitro transgenic plants and trees in greenhouse.
