General Research Interest:
My general research interests are in the area of bioinformatics and functional genomics in wood formation.
Roles in the NSF Project:
My role in the NSF project focus on the full transcriptome analysis in identifying and characterizing genes that are differentially expressed in respond to the perturbed lignin gene expressions. I will be working closely with Dr. Sederoff and Dr. Isik on the statistical analysis, and also serve as a liaison between the molecular biologist and the engineers lead by Dr. Williams and Dr. Ducoste in model building. I’ll also work with Dr. Sederoff and Chris Smith on building the lignin systems database.
