Using Protein Cleavage-Isotope Dilution Mass Spectrometry (PC-IDMS), and a comprehensive set of stable isotope labelled surrogate peptides as internal standards (List of Peptides), we quantified the absolute abundance of all monolignol biosynthetic proteins in stem differentiating xylem of the wildtype and transgenic trees. Click on each protein to see its absolute abundance in the wildtype and transgenic trees. Alternatively, click on the links at the bottom of the page to download all data in an excel spreadsheet. Three different units are provided: (1) Micrograms of target protein per gram of total proteins, (2) picomoles of target protein per mg of total proteins, and (3) nanomoles of target protein per liter of stem differentiating xylem. If you have any questions about these data, would like to use these data for publication, or would like to collaborate, please contact Vincent Chiang (Contacts Page).
