Why a new Cluster?
The http://hpc.ncsu.edu has a big cluster. Why did we set up another one?
- Large memory nodes.
- HPC is 2GB-4GB per core.
- We have 8GB per core standard.
- Some nodes with more.
- No disk quotas or job time limits.
- Management flexibility:
- Installing new software.
- Allowing non-NCSU users.
- For use by the BCSC.
