You can run an X Windows application on the head node e.g. firefox.

• Run an X Server on your client machine (e.g. XMing on Windows).
• Make sure “X Forwarding” is enabled.
  • -X on ssh.
  • Option in putty (Connection / SSH / X11).
• Can be quite slow depending on the application and the network connection.
