Cluster Users and Uses

There are currently about 300 user accounts on the cluster, but about 100 active in the last 6 months.

• Users have data sizes ranging from a few MB up to 25TB.
• Many users have more than 1TB of data.

Typical uses:

• The programs our users run are frequently:
  • sequential read/sequential write.
  • heavy on in-memory calculation.

• Specific applications:
  • GWAS (Genome Wide Association Studies).
  • RNASeq analysis.
  • Genome assembly.
  • Molecular evolution.
  • Simulations for method development.
