Users that no longer need their cluster account should try to move their data to another system before abandoning it. Ideally they should let the system administrators know that they no longer intend to use the account so that the account can be locked.

Accounts that appear to have been unused for 6 months or more will be locked and the data belonging to the account may be archived to tape and removed from the cluster disk volumes. The tape archive will be kept for at least 5 years. If you need your data to be kept for longer than that please contact the system administrators to discuss it.
